A little bit about me.

I'm a wife, a dog mom of two fur babies, and a SoCal native. I'm passionate about creating a safe space for people of all backgrounds, body types, and ability levels to move their bodies. I believe movement can make you feel capable, powerful, and strong. It can give you self-confidence and make you feel good about yourself in your current body. Through a lot of reflection and internal work, I've learned to enjoy movement as more than a means to an end - it's a medium through which we can explore the world, learn about ourselves, and feel empowered. These are the feelings, experiences, and opportunities I want for my clients.

Then and now...

As with so many, my relationship with movement is very personal, it has gone through different phases, and it has drastically evolved over the past 10-15 years. Beginning in elementary school and continuing through high school, I did cheer. I never considered myself to be very good at traditional sports, but cheer made me feel athletic and, when I cheered, I moved for fun.

After I graduated high school, I stopped cheering. During my college years and into my 20's, I felt the pressures of diet culture and I used movement only for short sprints when I felt I needed to lose weight and "get back on track." At this time, movement became a punishment and an obligation. I didn't see much value in movement other than to change how my body looked.

Now, in my mid-30's, I have a true appreciation for movement and for what my body can do. This has evolved from two things: (1) I began moving for reasons that weren't tied to a scale or my physical appearance, which made it easier to stay consistent and find the joy for movement I once had. (2) After experiencing a low back injury in 2024, I realized that movement is a privilege, but many of us don't make this realization until pain or an injury takes that privilege away.

Following my back injury, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to take the trip of a lifetime with my husband. We were planning to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro - the tallest peak on the African continent - in July 2025. But, my back pain got so severe that it was difficult to put on socks and pants, long car rides were nearly unbearable, picking up my 17-pound Frenchie was a challenge, and I had regressed so far in my training that I felt totally discouraged. Despite all of this, I was determined to stay moving. I dialed back all of my activity, I moved in ways that were tolerable, and I slowly and strategically regained physical capacity. My husband, Erik, and I summited Kili on July 11, 2025, and it was the hardest thing I had ever done.

Through moving my body and challenging myself in a physical way, I’ve learned so much about who I am and what I’m capable of - this has created a huge sense of empowerment. I think everyone should have the opportunity to experience this and this is what I want for my clients.

As a Fitness Coach, I've worked with a wide range of clients, including teens and folks in their mid-80's with a variety of health and medical conditions and limitations. No matter who the client is, my goals are to make the client feel safe, heard, and empowered. I want to see my clients succeed and gain confidence to do things they may never have considered previously.

As a Coach and business owner, I am constantly striving to improve my skills so that I can provide the best service and experience possible to my clients. This means I spend a significant amount of time and energy on professional development, including studying other excellent coaches and continuous education.
